The quest of Creativity Catalyst is to illuminate the rich meaning of creativity and to exercise creative ventures in the world. Creativity is meant to produce goodness that betters souls and societies. We’re called to be creative in the world for the good of human flourishing.
3 core values guide our course:
Invitation – Inspiration – Invention
Discover the invitation to be creative beings of goodness
The creative mandate invites us to participate in the ongoing creative activity of God to produce goodness for human flourishing. The invitation is a sacred calling and a responsibility to build beauty out of brokenness. Our call is an act of faithfulness to the Creator to work in accord with His redemptive, re-creative work. We seek creativity to be applied to all spheres of life.
CreCat illuminates the reality of the creative invitation for all persons and invites all persons to creative ventures.
Genesis 1:26-28, 2:15, Isaiah 58, 61, Psalm 90:17, Ephesians 2:10
Immerse yourself in the philosophical, theological and tangible inspirations of creativity
To be inspired is to be moved in our spirits. Inspiration comes from looking deeply, exploring vastly, receiving richly, and reaching bravely. It comes from a source beyond us, a vision greater than us, and a conviction deeper than we would expect.
CreCat seeks inspiration and cultivates means for others to find inspiration, in order to furnish ideas and dreams that bring good into the world. We conduct creative cohorts to grow our souls. We host creative experiences. We generate insightful works. We explore the wonder of beauty and the vexation of brokenness.
Exodus 31:1-5, Isaiah 6:1-5, Psalm 19:1-9, 27:4,
Incarnate the act of creating for the good of human flourishing
A good work is inventive, creating with the richness of craft and the profoundness of content. Creative action means incarnating ideas to make them known and experiential to others. Invention contributes to and changes our world in tangible ways by facilitating a pursuit of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.
CreCat encourages and mobilizes creative action. Invention is about our commitment to act, determination to refine our craft, and resilience to produce. In so doing, we manifest the attribute of Godʼs goodness as Creator and Re-Creator in a world that he loves.
